CONTEXT

It is important that all IG Asia Vietnam employees have a clear understanding of the expectations of their duties and responsibilities. This job description outlines the major responsibilities for this role and is a guide to the employees and their managers as to their overall responsibilities.  The employee recognizes that they may be required to undertake work that is outside of the specifics of this job description from time to time, as required and requested to do so for the good operations of IG Asia Vietnam, and they agree to undertake all reasonable and lawful instructions provided to them.

 

MISSIONS

• Sourcing of vendors depending on project size, specificities and location
• Organise vendors PQ (Pre-Qualification)
• Prepare ITB (Information To Bidders) for bidding purposes
• Work responsible for quantity take-off from tender drawings and cross-check the tenderer’s quantity
• Work responsible for compliances of all sub-contractors, supplier’s offers
• Do analyze, evaluate, and negotiate the best offer with sub-contractors and suppliers
• Prepare the contracts for approval
• Create and maintain good relationships with sub-contractor/suppliers
• Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
• Work with team members and line manager to complete duties as needed.
• Contact and follow up with sub-contractors/suppliers for a good execution of the contract signed
• Control works quality and time schedules within the group
• Manage that commercial management tools, reports, processes, and procedures are used in accordance with IDEC Group standards
• Manage recommendation of the appointment of tenderers.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

• Degree qualified in CSA Engineering.
• Years of experience: Minimum of 5 Years Post Graduate Experience;
• Previous experience working of procurement in construction industry (main contractor)
• Intermediate time management and organizational skills with the ability to self-manage billable hours and ability to undertake own work with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy.
• Good written and spoken communication skills in English.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT

High-end development with luxury villas and related facilities, located near Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam).

MISSIONS

The Project Director position is being launched to support the development of a high-end residential project comprising luxury villas and associated facilities :

• He/she will act as Project Director and Main Contractor representative
• Full management of the project and the project site team
• Supervise preconstruction, procurement and construction activities
• Lead project coordination within company internal departments (Design, QS, Procurement, Finance)
• Propose project optimizations and values engineering
• Main interlocutor of the Client and the client representatives
• Liaise and coordinate with architects, designers and consultants
• Establish project Master Schedule and detailed schedules
• Ensure project timely coordination between subcontractors / suppliers
• Ensure full compliance with HSE standards and policy of the company
• Implement Quality Plan and Quality Control
• Ensure strict compliance with company ethics rules and local regulations
• Manage budgets and cost control following company procedures and reporting
• Evaluate and update on a regular basis risks / opportunities project matrix

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

• Education: engineer, civil engineering master
• Years of experience: a minimum of 15 years’ experience, with a General Contractor
• Previous experiences in luxury hospitality and / or high-end residential projects
• Previous experiences abroad, preferably in Asia
• French native, advanced skills in written and spoken English
• Advanced management and communication skills in a multicultural context
• Ability to develop and build trustful client relationships
